Objectives and Values of the League
1. To provide Elementary School children with the opportunity to play football.
2. To encourage children to participate in a physical activity.
3. To teach children the fundamentals of football.
4. To promote the game of contact football.
5. To develop character in children—particularly because of the nature of the game.
6. To promote co-operation in the players—the game requires 12 players
to work as a unit to achieve success.
7. To promote camaraderie amongst the players.
8. To provide children an opportunity to learn from, and to co-operate with coaches.
9. To provide children an opportunity to play organized games of football,
with qualified referees, timers, sideline officials, and assistants.
10. To recognize the individual efforts of players with “Player of the Game” awards.
11. To recognize team efforts with three Divisional trophies at the end of the season.
Belleville Minor Football has given more than one thousand local
children an opportunity to learn the game of football. Parents are
most appreciative of the efforts of the coaches to provide the learning
opportunities for their children.
